In addition to announcing the HONOR Magic Vs2, its new foldable, the company also announced a new smartwatch. The HONOR Watch 4 Pro launched in China, and it looks quite classy.
The HONOR Watch 4 Pro has a stainless steel body, and a round display
HONOR‘s new smartwatch comes with a stainless steel body, two physical buttons, and really compelling specs. You’ll notice its two buttons on the right side. The top one doubles as a rotating crown, while the bottom one is just a button.
There is a round display included on this watch, and overall, the HONOR Watch 4 Pro looks mostly like a regular smartwatch. It also comes with your standard lugs, you’ll be able to connect basically any 22mm watch band to this device.
You’ll be glad to know that e-SIM support is included, and that HONOR used an upgraded eight-channel high-sensitivity sensor here. A high-transparency module is also used to increase the amount of light entering the heart rate sensor by 50%.
An LTPO AMOLED display is in use here
A 1.75-inch circular display is used here, and it has a 464 x 464 resolution. This is an LTPO AMOLED display, so its refresh rate can go all the way down. We’re looking at a 310 PPI here.
The watch supports Bluetooth 5.2, and is compatible with Android 9 or above. iOS 11 and above builds are also supported, by the way, though you won’t get the same experience as on Android.
You’ll find a bevy of sensors on this watch, including an accelerometer, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, an optical heart rate sensor, an ambient light sensor, and an air pressure sensor.
There are also over 6,000 customizable watch faces available for the watch. Do note that this counts in the watch facers available via HONOR’s app, not just the ones pre-installed on the watch. Speaking of which, the app’s name is HONOR Health, and you’ll need it to connect this watch to your phone.

The HONOR Watch 4 Pro supports 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep tracking, and more. It is also 5 ATM water resistant, you can take it with you underwater up to 50 meters.
GPS is a part of the picture too, and the watch offers great battery life. HONOR says that you can get up to 10 days of battery life in smart mode, and that includes LTE network usage for 2 hours a day.
The HONOR Watch 4 Pro comes in Black, Brown, and Dark Green color variants. The first one comes with a silicone strap, while the other two include leather watch straps. Pre-orders start at CNY1,599 ($218) in China, but chances are this watch will launch globally.
