The iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 120mm Tetraprism telephoto camera

This is not exactly new info, as we’ve seen the same rumor several times thus far. This more or less confirms it. Ming-Chi Kuo is rarely wrong when it comes to Apple information.

Kuo emphasized that with the improvements in the yield of the tetraprism lens assembly for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and higher-than-expected shipments of high-end Android phones, the 2023 Largan EPS is anticipated to reach ~150. As a reminder, Largan is the sole supplier of the tetraprism camera for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Ming-Chi Kuo is convinced that Apple will incorporate the same camera tech in the smaller iPhone Pro next year. He also noted that Apple and Huawei are the two fastest-growing brands in global periscope camera smartphone shipments this year.

Largan will also be the primary periscope lens supplier for Huawei too, at least that’s what’s expected for 2024. He did touch on Huawei a bit more too. He stated that the Huawei P70 series will benefit from Huawei’s Kirin chips, and see a 100% YoY shipment growth in 2024.

Next year’s handset will also be larger than the iPhone 15 Pro

Now, in regards to the iPhone 16 Pro. It will not only include a tetraprism lens, but it will be larger than this year’s model. Apple will be enlarging the displays of all of its offerings next year, actually.

The iPhone 16 Pro, in particular, will include a 6.27-inch panel. That will be an LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and it will be flat. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, will feature a 6.86-inch panel. It is expected to be the same as the iPhone 16 Pro’s, but larger.

The company will announce the iPhone 16 series towards the end of Q3 2024. That’s what’s expected, at least.
