If you’re unfamiliar with the Deathstalker V2 then it’s time you got to know it. Because it’s one of the best keyboards out there for gaming. Now I have the Pro version and not the regular V2. But the only real difference there is the wireless connectivity. So what’s so good about this keyboard? Well first off it’s ultra-slim. So if you prefer really thin keyboards with low-profile keys then it’s hard to beat this one. Aside from the really slim design it has Razer’s Optical low-profile switches.
These were designed to deliver super fast and super reliable actuation in your games. If you play shooters, this is hugely important because there’s a good chance you’ll get your shots off faster than your opponent. In my experience these have helped me quite a bit. Although part of it comes down to reaction time. Another really neat feature I like is the multifunctional media roller. This can be used to adjust volume up and down as well as mute the volume. These are of course the default settings. You can change the multifunctional roller to adjust screen brightness, zoom in and out in Windows, and you can even use it to switch between apps.
Basically it’s a really convenient way to do a bunch of different stuff depending on your preferences. I simply like to use it for volume adjustment. But you might like it better for one of the other functions. Naturally this has Razer Chroma RGB. Which is another thing I really like about this keyboard for games. As some of them have specific profiles that add effects to the keyboard for certain in-game events. If you have other Chroma devices these effects are amplified as they can mimic the effect happening on the keyboard so long as the chroma is synced between them.
Plus the keycaps are laser-etched so they won’t wear down as easily. I’ve had the V2 Pro model since it released close to a year ago now and use it daily.
