The Apple-owned Shazam app has added a “Concerts” section to its iOS app that helps you to find and book upcoming concerts. The feature lets you filter events by “For You” and “Popular” labels, as well as find the closest concerts to your current location. Let’s hope it will arrive to Android as well.

Shazam was first launched as a music discovery app in 2002, and it was acquired by Apple in 2018. The app now has a great integration with iOS and different Apple apps. The latest edition of Shazam for iOS is tailored to those who don’t want to miss a concern from their favorite singers. The “Concerts” section is now available in the Shazam version 17.0.

You can now find and book concerts with the Shazam app on iOS

Besides notifying you about the upcoming concerts, the new section also provides you with more information about the event and a link to purchase tickets. Shazam lets you save concerts within the app and even add them to the calendar for future referrals.

Finally, the app offers music from the singers and the bands below their concert section. Depending on which streaming app is connected to Shazam app, you can play the music through Apple Music or Spotify. There’s also an option of playing the music within the Shazam itself.

Shazam Concerts

Allowing iOS users to find the upcoming concerts around them isn’t a new feature for Apple. The company has already brought such a feature to the Spotlight Search, Apple Music, and Maps apps. The tech giant made this possible after signing a data license deal with Bandsintown in 2022.

The concert finding and booking feature in the Shazam iOS app is easier to access compared to the Apple Music or Spotlight. This is because it now has a dedicated section. This new feature is also a great addition for music lovers. Those who are always looking for new and exciting live performances to attend. If you don’t want to bother yourself by scrolling through different apps, you can simply ask Siri. The Apple’s exclusive voice assistant can list future concerts and make the booking.
