Walmart right now has one of the wildest Black Friday deals we’ve seen on a gaming desktop with the ASUS ROG Strix GT15, which is now on sale for $900 off the original price. If you’re not looking to build your own PC, and even if you have considered it, you might want to consider going with this pre-built instead. You could always upgrade parts later on after all.
Here’s why this is such a good deal. The desktop comes with an RTX 3080 GPU and an Intel Core i7-12700F CPU. On top of that it has 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD for storage. The cheapest you’re going to find an RTX 3080 GPU is likely around $499.99. While an Intel Core i7-12700F CPU will run you about $289. That’s almost $800 and that’s without factoring in the cost of the RAM, the SSD, the power supply, the motherboard, the fans, the PC case and a few other things that you generally need to make up a decent gaming PC.
Chances are if you bought everything separate and built a PC by yourself, you’d spend well over $999.99, which is what the ROG Strix GT15 is now on sale for at Walmart. What’s really great about this pre-built is that ASUS put a handle on top that makes this a little easier to carry if you ever have to move it around. Now you’re not going to be moving this thing constantly like you might a laptop. But you will probably have to move it at some point and the handle is going to make that process more convenient and likely quicker.
To round things out the ROG Strix GT15 has loads of ventilation to help keep PC temps down which you’re going to be glad for with the amount of heat the GPU and CPU put out. While this might not be the right fit for PC enthusiasts, it’s an excellent setup for first-time PC gamers or someone looking to upgrade from an older pre-built.
